Thank you to Ms. Karina Chavez, Partnerships Officer, Americas at UNHCR for joining our World Refugee Day Advocacy Webinar on June 19th. Karina spoke with United to Beat Malaria Champions about the work of UNHCR to protect and support the health of refugees, particularly those living in malaria-endemic countries. UNHCR marks this year’s World Refugee Day under 3 themes: Access, Solidarity, and Solutions. Karina overviewed UNHCR’s strategy for responding to refugee needs in emergency contexts and highlighted the relationship between climate and displacement in settings like South Sudan.

You can take action TODAY to support the health of refugees by signing this petition to urge Congress to fully fund life-saving global malaria programs that prioritize the health of refugees and internally displaced persons (IDPs).
