Nothing But Nets Champion Stephen Curry visits The Late Show

Golden State Warriors Champion, MVP and Nothing But Nets Champion Stephen Curry recently sat down with a different Stephen, on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. 

Curry, who Colbert comically dubbed “the Uber of basketball” for the way he has disrupted the NBA status quo, continues to prove how professional athletes can make a difference beyond sports. Colbert and Curry briefly discussed Curry’s ongoing support for our campaign and the fight against malaria. 

The NBA superstar became a champion of Nothing But Nets three years ago when he made a pledge to donate three life-saving bednets for every three-point shot he made during the regular season. Curry has continued his Three for Three Challenge, sending a total of more than 2,500 bednets to Africa to protect families from malaria. He joked with Colbert that he’s been shooting especially well over the last three years because of his challenge.

Curry, who recently welcomed his second daughter into the world, has previously said he feels a deep responsibility to help parents protect their children from this preventable disease. He even visited with President Obama at the White House to talk about malaria.
