A big thank you to the UN!

Today marks the 65th birthday of the United Nations. The UN Foundation’s Nothing But Nets campaign is proud to work with our UN partners to help reach the global goal of ending malaria deaths by 2015 (a goal set by the UN).

With your help, we work with UN agencies such as UNICEF and UNHCR to deliver life-saving bed nets to the areas of Africa where they’re most needed. Most recently, the UN identified an urgent need for nets in the Central African Republic, a country particularly vulnerable to malaria — which is why we’re now (with your support!) working with PSI and Mandy Moore to distribute a net to every family who needs one in the country.

The United Nations has led the movement to end malaria and provided vital on-the-ground support for our efforts to cover the continent with nets. We’re grateful for everything they do. From the whole Nothing But Netsteam, a big thank you to the United Nations and our UN partners on their birthday!
