Welcome to 2024, Champions!

We are looking forward to another impactful year of advocacy as we all unite to #BeatMalaria! As we move into this new year, we look back at 2023 with great appreciation for all your efforts in supporting life-saving malaria programs. Together we led 226 meetings with members of Congress across 41 states! Congratulations to each of you who maintained a steady drumbeat throughout 2023 in support of the U.S. President’s Malaria Initiative and The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.

2024 promises to be a year where each of us will have the opportunity to take our advocacy efforts to new levels. With an election on the horizon, our respectful non-partisan engagement encourages discourse around an issue that both sides of the aisle can agree on. This year’s advocacy opportunities beyond our annual leadership summit include:

• Webinars: Webinars will continue to be hosted every two weeks. Our first webinar of the year will kick off on Monday, January 22 at 6 p.m. ET. To register for this webinar and future webinars click here.
• World Malaria Day – Week of Action (April 22-26)
  • Monday, April 22 | Join our webinar as we overview the week’s advocacy actions.
• World Mosquito Day
  • August 20 | Our team will share a social media toolkit with prepared messaging for you to post on Instagram and X. We will also distribute a petition for you to sign and share with your community. The petition will be shared via email and text message.
• September Virtual Advocacy Day
  • DATE TBD | Virtual meetings with Members of Congress. Although Summit has limited capacity, our virtual meetings are a great way of strengthening your advocacy muscles in preparation for the 2025 Leadership Summit (yes, I’m talking about 2025…sorry).
• Veteran’s Day
  • November 11 | Our team will share a social media toolkit with prepared messaging for you to post on Instagram and X. We will also distribute a petition for you to sign and share with your community. The petition will be shared via email and text message.

Advocacy is a year-round sport and our team will continue to equip you for success each step along the way.

Despite the tremendous progress made, a child dies nearly every minute from this entirely preventable and treatable disease. That’s why it’s necessary that we keep up the steady drumbeat — year round — in the fight to beat malaria.  Each advocacy action moves us closer to progress; makes us better advocates; and prepares us to advocate in Washington, D.C.
