Every year on August 12th we celebrate International Youth Day in order to celebrate and engage youth around the world in conversations with their local, national, and international leaders.
As we focus on achieving the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, it is important to consider the pivotal role of young people play in achieving the Global Goals. At Nothing But Nets we are grateful every day for the role our champions play in the fight to defeat malaria. From hosting local fundraisers, to meeting with members of Congress, to organizing their communities to raise awareness of this disease, they join us every day to ensure we see the day that no child dies of a mosquito bite.
Today, around the world youth will act upon their responsibility to be a part of the global conversation about sustainable sustainable consumption and production. Meetings, community events, shows, and workshops will stimulate interaction between current leaders and future leaders.
