Heads up for Hoops on the Hill!

What happens when you bring together 50 high school youth leaders, WNBA players, Members of Congress and their staff? What if you throw in a basketball hoop on top of it all? We will find out today at Hoops on the Hill! Students from Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership (HOBY) will be joining Nothing But Nets for this fun Capitol Hill event.

During Hoops on the Hill, Nakia Sanford and Monique Currie of the Washington Mystics will be spending their lunch hour with Hill Staffers and Members of Congress- challenging them to not only make free throws, but to also learn more about malaria and how to help send bed nets to Africa. Everyone is invited to stop by between 11:00am – 2:00pm at the United Methodist Building parking lot, located at 100 Maryland Ave NE. Come by and take your best shot against malaria!
