Malaria Champions Honor World Malaria Day and Call for Continued U.S. Investment in the Malaria Fight

On Capitol Hill, United to Beat Malaria and Malaria Roundtable partners brought together lawmakers, global health leaders, and advocates for a World Malaria Day reception. Sen. Coons (D-DE), former Reps. Royce (R-CA 39) and Ros-Lehtinen (R-FL 27), and leaders underscored the United States’ track record in leading malaria prevention and eradication efforts, reminding us why we cannot step back from the fight against malaria.

While we have made enormous progress against this disease in recent decades, this progress cannot be taken for granted and continued U.S. investment and partnership with endemic countries is critical to achieving a malaria-free world.

World Malaria Day Fundraising Match Update

Thanks to our community, more refugee children and their families will have access to essential malaria prevention and treatment tools, childhood vaccinations, and nutrition screening to refugee children in camps and urban areas in Ethiopia and Uganda through our special Healthy Start for Refugee Children Initiative. Join the Healthy Start community today and help ensure that refugee children can access lifesaving malaria treatment by making a donation or starting a fundraiser for Healthy Start.

A Record-Breaking Move Against Malaria 5K

Around the world, more than 400 of you — the largest number of participants ever — moved in support of lifesaving malaria tools and programs! Thank you again for joining us for the 2025 Move Against Malaria 5K, sponsored by EBC Financial Group. We can’t wait to move again next year.
