Xbox parties for nets

For my Bar Mitzvah project, I decided to support the Nothing But Nets campaign. Recently, I hosted some xbox LAN party fundraisers. People would come over to my house to play xbox, but before we would start playing, I would give a little talk describing the need for bed nets and what can be done to prevent malaria. We would have a fun time, and each guest would donate $10 to Nothing But Nets when they came over. $10 buys a bed net, which is hung over a family’s bed at night to prevent  bites from malaria-carrying mosquitoes, and it also  covers the cost to educate  people on how to use the net the right way.  With the fundraisers I held, I raised over $200! I am hoping to have more xbox LAN party fundraisers. Through hosting these events, I can show people that helping the world can be fun!
