Donor Advised Fund Information

A Donor Advised Fund (DAF) is the fastest-growing giving vehicle for managing charitable donations. When you open a DAF account, you can make a contribution of cash, stock, or other assets; and since DAF’s are nonprofits, you are eligible for an immediate tax deduction. Once you’ve established the account, you can let the funds mature tax-free and/or direct grants to the charity of your choice. Recommending grants to Nothing But Nets through your DAF is a quick and easy process. Just follow the steps below:

When filling out the grant recommendation form, select the United Nations Foundation (our parent organization) as the charity beneficiary. The United Nations Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) charitable organization, Our organizational Tax ID, address, and phone number are listed below.

The grant recommendation form typically allows you to specify the gift purpose. Please state: “to be used exclusively for UNF’s Nothing But Nets campaign.”
DAF’s make it easy to set up a recurring gift. DAF’s typically provide a check box on the grant recommendation form to specify if this gift is one-time or recurring.
You will receive a gift acknowledgment from Nothing But Nets, but not a charitable receipt for tax purposes. Your contribution to the DAF is tax-deductible, not the distribution from the DAF.
