PAHO is a UN public health agency with over 100 years of experience working to improve health and living standards for the people of the Americas. PAHO works to strengthen health systems across PAHO’s 35 Member States and improve the health of the peoples of the Americas, in collaboration with Ministries of Health, other government and international agencies, NGO’s, community groups, and many others. Based in Washington DC, PAHO has 27 country offices and nine scientific centers.
United to Beat Malaria and the UN Foundation have worked closely with PAHO to execute malaria prevention, treatment, and elimination programs throughout the Americas, including Haiti, Ecuador, Venezuela, and the Dominican Republic.
