March 14, 2023

United to Beat Malaria invites you to go the extra “kilometer” in the fight to beat malaria. Between April 25 to May 7, 2023, join supporters around the world for the second annual Move Against Malaria 5K, a virtual event to raise awareness and funds to support lifesaving malaria tools and programs.

This is a virtual 5K event, meaning that you can participate from wherever you are, on your own day, time, and pace. Participants can engage with the event in a variety of ways: we invite you to host a 5K run in your community, walk to your local health clinic or hospital, or walk 5,000 steps a day from April 25th to May 7th to support United to Beat Malaria. No matter how you participate, you will be part of a global community uniting together to end malaria within our lifetimes!

Here’s how to get started:

  • Register for the 2023 Move Against Malaria 5K.
    • Between March 1st and March 15th, registration will cost $25.00 per person. Starting on March 16th, registration will increase to $30.00 per person.
    • Register before April 1st and you will be guaranteed a limited edition 2023 Move Against Malaria 5K t-shirt.
  • After registering, customize your peer-to-peer fundraiser page. Classy accepts credit card and digital donation payment options (PayPal, Venmo, ApplePay, and GooglePay).
  • Share your participation on social media (don’t forget to follow United to Beat Malaria on Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and TikTok).
  • Invite your community to join you in supporting our mission to protect vulnerable families from this preventable disease.

The 2023 Move Against Malaria 5K will be sponsored by Woodstream. “We’re excited to team up with United to Beat Malaria for the Move against Malaria 5k virtual race. As experts in pest control, Woodstream™/DynaTrap® understands the urgent need to protect communities from deadly diseases like malaria. Together we’re determined to make a meaningful impact in the fight against this preventable illness. Our partnership will help create a healthier and safer world for everyone,” said Miguel Nistal, Woodstream CEO.

Every dollar raised will help us protect those at risk of malaria. We hope you’ll participate in this global event and get your community involved as well!
