United to Beat Malaria invites you to go the extra “kilometer” in the fight to beat malaria. Between April 25-May 5, 2024, join supporters around the world for the third annual Move Against Malaria 5K, a virtual event to raise awareness and funds to support lifesaving malaria tools and programs.
We want to make this year’s Move Against Malaria 5K the most impactful yet, but we need your help. Last year, over 250 supporters across eight countries took part in the 5K. Together, our supporters ran, walked, skateboarded, and kayaked and raised over $23,000.00 to support vital malaria prevention and treatment programs. To keep up the pace, our goal is to reach 350 supporters and raise $25,000.00. We hope you invite your friends, community, and local running clubs to join us in our mission to beat malaria and create a healthier, more equitable world.
This is a virtual 5K event, meaning you can participate from wherever you are, on your own day, time, pace, and style of movement. Participants can engage with the event in a variety of ways: we invite you to host a 5K run in your community, walk to your local health clinic or hospital, or walk 5,000 steps a day from April 25-May 5 to support United to Beat Malaria. No matter how you participate, whether it be by swimming 1500 meters or jazzercizing to the Malaria Clap Challenge, you will be part of a global community uniting together to end malaria in our lifetimes!
Here’s how to get started:
The 2024 Move Against Malaria 5K will be sponsored by Woodstream. “We are thrilled to once again sponsor the Move Against Malaria 5K,” said Woodstream’s CEO Joao Rodrigues. “As experts in pest control, Woodstream recognizes the vital need to safeguard communities from life-threatening diseases like malaria. By joining forces with United to Beat Malaria, we aim to make a meaningful impact in the fight against this preventable disease and create a healthier and safer world for everyone.”
Every dollar raised will help us protect those at risk of malaria. We hope you’ll participate in this global event and get your community involved as well.
