Report from the Central African Republic: Day 1 with Mandy Moore!

The anticipation is building here in Bangui, Central African Republic (CAR) as the mosquito net distribution is ready to be launched on Thursday. Last night at 2:30 a.m., Mandy Moore arrived here in CAR to learn more about the specific need for nets in this country so she can do her part to raise awareness upon her return home.

Hope: The Greatest Gift Anyone Can Give: Day 3 with Mandy Moore in CAR

The stage was magicly built by 8 a.m. and the tents and sound system were ready to go.  Government officials and local NGO (non-governmental organization) workers from all over Bangui began to file in as the dancers kept the crowd entertained.

Young sailors collect seashells to save lives

The Cotuit Mosquito Yacht Club, inspired by the sailing club of the same name, spent this summer teaching their fellow mariners how they can send a net and save a life, raising enough money to send 30 nets!

University students in Korea help save lives during Fall Festival

Last week, universities across South Korea were filled with the sound of music and laughter as students celebrated the annual Fall Festival, one of the biggest school events of the year. This year’s Fall Festival had an added element of excitement — instead of just partaking in the usual concerts and games, many students also joined the global movement to end malaria.
